Ros Emery-Kay
Ros, our instructor well known for her dressage to music creativity, specialises in designing and implementing custom dressage to music floor plans with unique custom produced music to go with it. Ros’ admirable talent means she can produce any music, from current to classical for your ride to suit your taste.
Ros regularly runs sessions at Abbey Farm Dressage and is perfect for both experienced and first time riders! Check out our events tab to see her next class!

Mark Townsend
Mark is another one of our popular instructors here at Abbey Farm, running his ever-popular monthly clinics.
Mark is excellent for general horse and rider improvement including a focus on the horse’s way of going, and is never hesitant to get in the saddle for those coming along.
Catering for all levels from grass roots through to Grand Prix, Mark’s admirable experience and talent make him the ideal instructor for many.
Sondra Rutter
Sondra is a British Dressage Recognised Coach, and has produced and competed horses from backing to FEI Inter 1. Her focus is on harmony between horse and rider. After training with the brilliant Andy Thomas MSCP, HCPC to become a Testt ™️ Certified Coach, her ability to recognise common rider asymmetries, their origins, and incorporate Testt ™️ symmetry resistance bands and taping techniques within her coaching produces optimum performance from both horse and rider. She enjoys coaching grass roots to advanced riders, and is continuing to build her client base both as a coach and rider.
Sondra competed as a show jumping rider in Canada, Belgium and the UK. In 2003/4 she completed her BHS Stage 4 Riding and Stable Management, and PTT. In 2005 she joined Assouline Dressage as head girl, and changed her focus to dressage. She has been freelance coaching and riding since 2008.
In 2022 Sondra became a Testt Certified Coach and completed her British Dressage Coaching Certificate Level 2. She has competed at Regional and National level, and is a regular competitor in British Dressage. She is fully insured, and has up to date Safeguarding and First Aid.
